Lovely day trip, just amazing to see when the dam is nearly full. A lovely cafe wis next to the dam and we stopped and had lunch, it was very busy. Overall a good experience.

If you want to spend a day away from people, this is the place to go. There is a big bbq area where you always find a spot. The view of the lake is pretty and the place is so peaceful!

Have been there a few times in the past. Nice drive from Brisbane. You can stop along the way in small towns and can take a picnic. Lovely way to spend a weekend day.

I saw boats out in certain parts of the Dam, but it is probably best to check with SEQ Water.

Not immediately close by but there is one in the vicinity, the whole complex is quite large... closes mid afternoon.
