Overview
More
Brisbane Arts Theatre is an iconic, self-funded performing arts community. Our members produce engrossing, high quality, accessible theatre. We educate emerging Brisbane artists and future industry professionals. Our people inspire our fun, creative and innovative culture. We're Brisbane's home of the performing arts. The theatre company produces two complementary seasons every year: a diverse mainhouse season, with performances Thursday through Saturday in the evenings, and the iconic children's theatre, with performances at weekends and during school holidays. The theatre company owns the performance complex on Petrie Terrace and is responsible for both artistic and operational management. The Arts Theatre is one of Brisbane's longest running theatre companies, inviting members to be directly involved in all facets of theatre.

Brisbane Arts Theatre is a humble cultural icon of Brisbane in my opinion. Yes it's a bit tired, but well, its the quality of the performance that really counts. It harks back to a quieter less flashy Brisbane and I simply love it. A bit...More

My young daughters and I have been to quite a few of the children's productions and are blown away everytime. They are wonderful and I love them just as much as they do. Their favorite part is meeting the cast afterwards. Highly recommend attending one...More

This theatre is an old beauty and apparently in for a refurbishment. I hope they dont lose the wonderful old world feel of the place. Every seat has a good view. Small cafe for a thirst quencher, plenty of local parking and cheap tickets. Saw...More

Lovely old theatre, great ambience and small enough for every seat to have a good view. Awesome production with wonderful audience (kids) interaction from the actors. Just loved the "baddies" and "puppies". The actors all congregate in the courtyard after the show so the audience...More

I saw Avenue Q here in May 2017 and this is the first time I have been to the theatre, despite walking past it every day for years and years on the way home from work. The theatre is small, which means that there is...More

The theatre is old and the air condition works very bad. But the seats are good. It lacks some maintenance. Prices are very reasonable and have a bar just good to have something in the intermission or briefly before because it is not very comfortable

We went to see a performance of "Guards Guards" at this little theatre as we are huge Pratchett fans. It's a small theatre, with mostly amateur performers but very professional in their presentation. The cast were obviously having a lot of fun & the audience...More

I on the whole enjoyed watching Sleeping Buety. The family enjoyed the experience But it could have been better first the kids behind us kept kicking the seat and the items are over priced
