This is the markets that all the locals shop at for their fruit & vegetables. There is also a good range of food stalls to satisfy anyone with half an appetite. It doesn't have craft stalls so there's hardly any tourists. If you want really...More

As an unashamed tourist I'd rather go to Parap or Mindil. More entertainment, more to do, more food options etc. This is a much better local market for shopping, but less of interest for the visitor.

This place is fantastic for stocking up on fresh fruit and vegetables. Prices are great and generally cheaper than the supermarket. Outside there are many hot food vendors, mostly Asian food and smoothies. It all looks and smells delicious. The ATM is located inside the...More

If you love cooking Asian food go here! Quality herbs and veggies! Excellent prices! Had Asian breakfast while there and it sets us up until dinner time. They sold Thai apple, durian and egg plant. Wow

We attended the rapid creek markets last weekend, there were multiple stalls. I would have liked vendors t o advertise per item ie x1 jackfruit/durian as opposed to per kilogram. later i discovered that some elderly vendors sell because they have no other options to...More

Best local market in Darwin in the wet season. Bustling, epic but cheap street asian food, fresh fruit/veges, good coffee.

Darwin buses are pretty terrible, but Route 10 leaves the CBD (bus interchange, near the top of the Smith Street mall) on Sunday morning at 6:55 then 7:40 then about every half hour. 22 minute trip to Rapid Creek markets.
