We were at Yulara for our 25th Anniversary since our first date and decided to get a helicopter ride and then see the Field of lights. We booked a package that included everything, flight, canapés, three course buffet meal, star gazing and the field of...More
Like most people, was only at Uluru for 3 days. Booked the sunrise flight for our first morning 3 months in advance. A few days later i received a call to cancel the flight- no reason given for why. Flight was moved to next morning...More

We went up in high winds but couldn't have in safer hands.Brendon was an lovely pilot, very personable and funny. We really felt at ease. The views were truly awesome and get great sense of how vast the rock is.

Both the sunrise and sunset flights were booked out so we went in the middle of the afternoon over both Uluru and Tata Tjuta. We found this time to be perfect as it was clear and there wasn't too many shadows. Our photos were awesome. It also enabled us to do other tours at sunrise (Desert Awakenings & Segway) and sunset (Field of Light Dinner and Uluru Sunset viewing) as we were only there for 3 days. Hope this helps.

Hi....If you can only do one of them...I would recommend the chopper. It is an amazing experience. My trip to the heart of Australia would have not been the same without it. The walk is good and enjoyable. Try to take a net to save your face from the flies. Otherwise it is an easy walk. I wouldnt do the climbing of the rock, it would show a lack of respect for Aboriginal Culture and their sacred places. Combine the Olgas and Uluru to make the most of it! We did the sunset helicopter trip and even though it was a bit overcast ....was magnificent nontheless!
