The National Pioneer Women`s Hall of Fame offers vivid insights into the considerable historical role of women in outback Australia. Some research before you travel will enhance your understanding of their work and challenges in the harsh environments that confronted them. Enlightening !

Very small museum placed in the old jail. There are many stories of both famous women and those who were the first. This museum remember both those in the outback and the aborigionals! Since it is an old jailbuildind there is films and stories told...More

This musieum is in the old prison of Alice Springs lots of things to find out and visit. The Hall of Fame is situated in the old kitchens and has the biography of all the women who helped shape Australia.

Hosted in the old prison, this exhibition is a very interesting collection on women’s stories and experiences. Exhibits are well maintained and informative. You can get around in about an hour. Quite a lot of reading - would not recommend for families.

Well worth the stop over to go thru the museum. It is located in the old jail and you get to go thru the cell blocks as well. My daughter and I found this fascinating. The lady at reception was very informative.
