My favourite pub in Sydney, I visit without fail when I'm in town for the excellent pie and mash washed down with some of the excellent ales brewed on site. The second oldest pub in town, the sandstone walls still show the chisel marks of...More

In 1994, my family visited this pub. So when my wife and I returned to Sydney in February, we had to come back to see if it had changed. To our delight, it looked just as we remembered. We enjoyed two excellent beers here before...More

After walking through the markets at the Rocks on a Saturday, it is well worth heading to the oldest pub in Sydney for a Saturday lunch. The food and atmosphere was great . We stayed on for the afternoon 'jazz' band session which was brilliant.

As part of my 50th Birthday mini-pub-crawl I finally patronized the famous Lord Nelson pub as was not disappointed. 3 Sheets Ale was refreshing and crisp and the food was delicious: enjoyed a Grass-Fed brisket sandwich with rosemary chips. Service was solid. I even purchased...More

All it needs is a fire and black Labrador. Lovely cosy feel and fantastic craft beer on tap. Food and service excellent. If the sun is shining they have great outdoor tables.

We were actually really excited to go to the Lord Nelson. Maybe we were too excited. The staff wasn't rude but certainly not friendly. And the beer was just ok. If you happen to be in the neighborhood its worth a visit. But we walked...More

We spent the morning doing some shopping at "The Rocks" and decided to do a little pub crawl for ourselves afterward. The Lord Nelson was on my list as places to have a beer and was not disappointed! It's a nice old rustic pub with...More

The perfect spot to pop in for a pint of in-house brewed beer. Sydney's oldest pub is a welcoming place to catch up with friends or just try some new beers! Staff are really nice and most importantly the beers are delicious!
