Saw 2 shoes this week, so different but both done so well. The Wharf Review is wonderful, cutting and relevant humour, perhaps the wrong venue for such an intimate show but so good. A Cheery Soull at the Drama Theatre was cringworthy but that was...More

Don't miss Kate Mulvany's sensitively adapted new production for stage of Ruth Park's classic Irish family saga set in Surry Hills in Sydney in the last century. Wonderful music and acting by an all-star cast. Finola O'Sullivan, Dublin & Cambridge

Enjoying the variety now than when I used to subscribe; a greater diversity of shows are very appealing - have been to both the Drama Theatre and the Roslyn Packer ; atmosphere is different but both enjoyable.

We attended the production of Saint Joan last night at the Roslyn Packer theatre. It was wonderful. Gripping and well acted. It is about 1hour and 40 minutes with no interval. The theatre was packed as usual. Such a professional theatre group. We are lucky...More

On a recent visit to Sydney, my wife and I attended a performance of Bertolt Brecht’s The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at the Roslyn Packer theatre. The production was superb with strong performances all round from the cast including Hugo Weaving. The use of...More

I enjoyed Liu' s 2015 drama Kill the Messenger but thought this play was just average although the full house seemed to enjoy it very much. I like her work on TV so I was expecting a funnier production given the 4 star reviews. Disappointing...More

Organising tickets and getting to the venue and pre dinner drinks at the End of the wharf bar at the (what we thought) was the Roslyn Packer Theatre where we were going to see a show, was easy enough. But after drinks 'trying' to find...More

Enjoying the plays more now than in past years - have been picking the eyes out of the programmes and found some interesting plays. Dinner at the Drama theatre last night had a strong cast and fascinating dialogue. Australian Graffiti a few weeks ago at...More

From getting the tickets to pre show reviews and information the STC cannot be faulted ....the shows themselves provide a variety to ensure they are thought-provoking ...the cafe is quite expensive however but with spectacular views at the Wharf precinct .....seats pretty comfortable

This play is wonderful. It is written by an Australian writer and performed by Australian actors. The acting is wonderful, the timing is brilliant, it is funny and entertaining and thought provoking and altogether NOT TO BE MISSED.

Good question which I'm afraid I can't answer. However, you would likely get a better view from the "Theatre Bar At The End Of The Wharf". This is also a bar and restaurant, with a better view!
