On a recent visit to Sydney, my wife and I attended a performance of Bertolt Brecht’s The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at the Roslyn Packer theatre. The production was superb with strong performances all round from the cast including Hugo Weaving. The use of...More

I enjoyed Liu' s 2015 drama Kill the Messenger but thought this play was just average although the full house seemed to enjoy it very much. I like her work on TV so I was expecting a funnier production given the 4 star reviews. Disappointing...More

Organising tickets and getting to the venue and pre dinner drinks at the End of the wharf bar at the (what we thought) was the Roslyn Packer Theatre where we were going to see a show, was easy enough. But after drinks 'trying' to find...More

Enjoying the plays more now than in past years - have been picking the eyes out of the programmes and found some interesting plays. Dinner at the Drama theatre last night had a strong cast and fascinating dialogue. Australian Graffiti a few weeks ago at...More

From getting the tickets to pre show reviews and information the STC cannot be faulted ....the shows themselves provide a variety to ensure they are thought-provoking ...the cafe is quite expensive however but with spectacular views at the Wharf precinct .....seats pretty comfortable

This play is wonderful. It is written by an Australian writer and performed by Australian actors. The acting is wonderful, the timing is brilliant, it is funny and entertaining and thought provoking and altogether NOT TO BE MISSED.

Always enjoy the theatre but very poor experience at the bar. We ordered a cheese plate for 2 which was very sparse, with stale nuts and crackers, a few old grapes and very little cheese. At almost $30 a very disappointing experience in delightful surroundings!

My teenage daughter and I attended the recent production of The Popular Mechanicals and had an excellent time. The cast were great and the play was most amusing. We will not be able to forget those rubber chickens!

Currently showing at the Drama Theatre in the Opera House, this play is surprisingly funny with a great cast, clever dialogue and a thought provoking premise. Highly recommended.

Good question which I'm afraid I can't answer. However, you would likely get a better view from the "Theatre Bar At The End Of The Wharf". This is also a bar and restaurant, with a better view!
