Great walk from the opera house through the botanical gardens but check the closing time when you enter the gardens as it's a long walk round after they lock the gates

Even though it was very hot, 39 degrees Celcius, in Sydney in March 2018, we took the walk through the Botanical Gardens to the Opera House. There are some water fountains along the way, where you can stop for a drink. I will recommend to...More

I went in February, so the climate was beautiful. I really enjoyed the photo session with my daughter. It looked even better from the ferry though.

Beautiful easy walk... a landmark of a walk. You can pick up a cafe at the end at the Art Gallery of NSW of at the Botanical Gardens. Love this walk!

A good place to visit before the tourist flock to this place. There are many joggers in the morning but it is not crowded until afternoon.

I recommend this for anyone who has two legs. It is an easy walk with world class views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the Harbour itself. Keep going around till you reach Mrs Macquaries Chair for the best views.

If you go on the Opera house web site it will give you all the shows that are currently on. If you are staying in a hotel the reception or concierge will be able to help you.

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
