This is a great walk around one of the world's great city habours with the water and the tall buildings as a back drop. Pick a fine sunny day.

Arrived by train to Circular Quay, with a short walk to the Opera House plenty of places to eat and a lovely stroll along the foreshore around to the Botanical Gardens. Safe for children as there is a Sandstone fence.

Must visit in Sydney. Gardens with Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background. Lots of nice trees and Aussie flora and fauna to see. Great for a relaxing stroll.

We walked from the Botanic Gardens to the Opera House and found it a relaxing way to see some of the main city sights. The walk is easy and took around 25 minutes at our steady pace.

One of Sydney's nice relaxing walks, you will not think you are in a major city. Heaps of resting areas and flat walk for all ages. Take camera good photo opportunities around each corner.

If you're at the Opera House or at the Botanical Gardens, be sure to take this walk from one to the other past the Government House. Great sights along the way!

I walked from Circular quay past the opera house and up through the park on a very hot day, it's a break from the busy city streets and was more peaceful than I expected. Take your time and enjoy the park and greenery instead of...More

The title of this attraction doesn't really cover it all. The walk from the Opera House to the Botanic Garden is really just a few feet. For example, we picnicked on the lawn of the Botanic Garden overlooking the harbour, and ran over to use...More

If you go on the Opera house web site it will give you all the shows that are currently on. If you are staying in a hotel the reception or concierge will be able to help you.

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
