About The Spit to Pulpit Rock Walk
This fairly easy walk around the foreshores of Beauty Point was a bicentennial project. Taking in views across Middle Harbour to Seaforth Bluff and Powder Hulk Bay, there is plenty of scenery and some exquisite flora and fauna.

Easy 10km walk from The Spit bridge to Manly ferry walk (or reverse direction). Good transport each end and reasonably well signposted along the way. Popular with tourists. Leave plenty of time to enjoy the views of the heads. Trail can be wet after rain.

We did this walk on Boxing Day, catching the bus from the CBD to the Spit took us over the harbour bridge and through some of the northern suburbs. The trail from the spit is well marked and I would suggest is “medium” grade. The variation of bush that we enjoyed was great as were the lizards and the odd bird sighting. In fairness the 10km took us about 3 hours to complete. Coming across hidden bays and crossing over headlands were all part of the journey. There are drinking taps on the way but I would suggest you must carry your own water. Stopping for a swim on your way is most definitely an option. We had a great lunch at the Manly 16 Ft Skiff sailing club a few hundred metres further around the bay from the ferry terminal. If you only have time to do one Sydney walk I feel the Bondi to Coogee costal walk was better.

Did this walk last weekend. Perfect weather for it. Was a great way to spend the day. Definitely recommend this track for something fun and different.

This is one walk worth doing. I found it better than than the Bondi to Coogee walk. We took a bus to Spit Bridge and then followed the signs to Manly. It is very clearly marked and easy to navigate. The walk to Manly is about 10km and if like us you go at a slow pace it takes about 3 hours. There are many steps along the walk and beach stops. The scene at the top of hills is fantastic and one can see the fantastic coastline, Manly as well as views of Sydney city and Opera House. We also some saw some Australian Turkeys and other wildlife. There are many signs signposting different trees. Overall, a great walk and worth doing.

A lovely walk, great views of our harbour city. Can be a bit crowded on the weekend. Take your own supplies and enjoy the surrounds
