The gardens are beautiful with something different on every corner. The only problem I found was the difficulty I had walking around with a Rollator (lwheeled walker) - uneven ground and lots of steps.

in the center of city (next to China Town with many street food and more upscale restaurants). Don't miss tea house there! You can even rent Chinese dresses there for photos

Nothing extraordinary but worth a visit for people seeking quiet places. The gardens are located in close proximity to the darling harbor and right opp to some of the best restaurants in the area. So it might be a good idea to have lunch and...More

My wife and I had a lovely stroll thru this authentic Chinese garden. Features waterfall, rock sculptures, many gates and buildings, native plants, tapestries, and a chiming music installation. Maybe $15usd to get in. Very nice.

What a contrast - Chinese pagodas against a backdrop of city buildings, and a haven of tranquility next to the chaos of city life. Watch out for the water dragons!

This was the first time we visited the Chinese Garden of Friendship and found it a wonderful experience. There is an admission charge but it soon becomes apparent that the charge is justified. The garden is a photographers paradise and it is surprising how many...More

I'd give it at least an hour, perhaps more if you are seriously into plants and fish.

The entry area and courtyard, cafe area is accessible by wheelchair. Beyond this area there are steps, stepping stones and small hilly sections. The back section is visible from the entry so you could view all the areas, but... More

I do not think they allow that, but not sure. There is a little spot with tables and chairs, so perhaps they do allow bringing in food, but did not see anyone eating anything there. No places to eat in the gardens... More
