This is a really lovely place to walk, either with or without (well-behaved) dogs. Not too busy, lovely views, ideal first thing or at sunset.

A paradise of butterflies, bees, dragonflies, birds and wild flowers. beautifully landscaped, good access and parking. Rare species, Great place to relax and for children to experience nature. What the British countryside should be like.

Had a lovely stroll around the reserve for the first time today. There were lots of chiff chaffs, willow warblers and sedge warblers, as well as a splendid pair of great crested Grebe and various other waterfowl. Looking forward to visiting again soon

Regular visitor to the reserve. Love having a walk round the lake and over the wobbly floating bridge. Always plenty of wildlife on show. Roll on warmer climates though I say!

Hi, at the moment we only ask for a donation so we can maintain the roadway to/and the actual car park, plus we can continue our great work on the reserve.

Hi Scott, the answer to this is two-fold - firstly, the actual reserve is accessible for wheelchair users however the ground can get wet and muddy and so can be difficult in the rainy seasons plus it is undulating... More

Hello Martin, Yes, we are open everyday from dawn until dusk. There is a café in the Coop in Collingham which is less than a 5 minute drive away from the reserve. Hope you enjoy your visit! Anna
