Nice and clean beach where you can rent sun beds and umbrellas or just lay on your towel. The beach is partly stones partly sand. Nice views, good for swimming. During season it can be full and also parking might be a problem. Don’t forget...More

Breathtaking sight in all seasons. At its best in spring and autumn. Very crowded in summer, but certainly worth seeing. Should you get hungry there are many restaurants, and the food is really super. In summer you can also get a takeaway pasta at a...More

We like walking and so parked at the turn off to Portonovo and walked down, not a good idea, a busy road. There are several pay car parks down by the beach but I think the place must get hectic in summer and at the...More

This beach is typical of several on this part of the Adriatic Coast with round pebbles and sharp drop into the water - wear sandals or beach shoes. Lounge chairs are available for a fee, as well as a good variety of ocean toys including...More

I love Portonovo and the beaches are stunning hidden gems not as discovered as other places in Italy.

Beautiful beach in a natural and historic place. It's difficult to park near the beach so I suggest to use a bus or a scooter.

A wonderful gem: the view of the mountain that kisses the see is just awesome. A tip: go there very early in the morning if you don't wish to pay a fortune for parking your car. Very crowded in August.

Taxis are readily available at the port and you should be able to negotiate a fare if you are six people. We used a rental car so didn’t have occasion to hire a cab. Consequently, not familiar with fares. Enjoy Ancona... More

If you like beaches you could stay one week or longer changing beach every day. There are also very good restaurants where you can eat both fish and meat and a lot of local specialities and excellet Italian wines.

Yes you can take a taxi: it takes 20 minutes by car (12Km) more or less. Be aware it's not cheap by taxi but very comfortable because it's difficult to find a park near the beach.
