The facilities are average at best, hot pool inside and lukewarm pool inside surrounded by rundown buildings. At $24 for one adult entry this was quite disappointing - I would have expected better quality facilities and a range of pools at this price. While we...More

The pools and buildings were all clean and tidy, perhaps in need of some TLC, but the hot swim was really good. We enjoyed our swim.

On first inspection of Parakai Springs website this place looks great for a day out or afternoon relaxation. How fooled were we. How this is the "northwest's best kept secret" is beyond me. $24 later we were in, changed and ready to enjoy ourselves. Unfortunately...More

The campground, adjacent to the hot pools is sadly lacking in TLC. Most of the power sites were inaccessible due to the sodden state of the grounds and the few that were available consist of 2 narrow strips of concrete in a wet muddy grassed...More

We arrived one day during the week. The main pool was taken over by a school for swimming lessons for the afternoon, so were unable to use it which left just the inside pool. Luckily it was not busy and we enjoyed this pool. So...More

We went to Parakai for a birthday party, it was a super busy day and it felt very over crowded in the main outside pool. The pool at the bottom of the slides, looked and felt dirty and murky. The lifeguards were all quite young...More

so very disappointing, we used to frequent here a few years ago but its changed for the worst, rotten wood at the top of the slides, tiles missing off the pool, a poo in the pool, and far too many people admitted, really run down.
