Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An architecturally elaborate building in miniature. Open from 9-12 each day we were given a personal tour of the old (and still functioning) post office and hand franked our post cards.

Admired this historic building from the main street of this quaint village, it is a quality static attraction. Unable to gain access to view from the inside.

Historical town just off the Otago Rail Trail. Recommended that I stop and post my postcard in the still working post office here- even got to stamp it myself. Lovley little town worth the extra few kilometres off the trail.

This heritage Post Office has hardly changed since it was built. It still has many of the old fixtures and fittings. The Postmistress was happy to show us around and explain the various bits and pieces. Send a postcard and she'll let you 'hand-frank' the stamp yourself. Open from 9am - 12pm. Wander behind the Post Office to see the old jail house.

Sadly it was closed when we visited but there is a jail up the back worth looking at. An interesting wee township to walk around.

sending a postcard, what a novelty and great stamps. Great place for kids to go see and even get to frank their postcard.

Nicky from Nicky's Place gave us a street map with all the info and we walked over there, not far. What a sweet place to wander around, loved it

Beautiful building and open for business three mornings a week. You can buy postcards and have them franked by a lovely lady who works there three days a week

The memorabilia here and the super-friendly post-mistress meant we stayed here so much longer than we thought we would need. Don't think twice about stopping in here to have a chat about the way things used to be. Franking our own postcards was fun too!
