It is a nice place to visit in a small town, but the history is very rich. And taste the best Jamon ever on the planet it is indeed only in small towns or villages around south of Portugal or Spain.

We were really impressed about this wonderful little museum, which told the story of iberico pigs in this area with so much love and creativity. We never thought there were so many ways to think about farming and meat! We also loved the videos of...More

Small, modern museum introducing the secrets of "jamón ibéeico". The video on the "matanza" (slaughter) is interesting

Fascinating to follow the process of making Jamon Iberico from start to finish. I enjoyed learning about the cultural significance and all that is involved. Truly a treat for Jamon lovers!

Sounds surreal, amuseum devoted to ham, but the beautiful dehesa surrounding the town produces some of the best jamon in Spain, and the oaks forests that feed the free range iberico pigs are a unique ecosystem which this museum explains in fascinating detail.
