We drove up to this winery and wasn't sure what to expect when we saw this little shack and small parking lot. Right as we turned the corner to the front of the tasting room boy were we in awe of the view. This is...More

They make a very good Riesling - definitely worth a stop to their winery or wine bar in Mapua to try and buy a few bottles for the journey home! Semi-sweet with well balanced high acidity and floral notes - can’t miss this one, a...More

Unlike some other winery who give you free tasting of their house wines, you do pay$10 but the wines, the Informaton shared, the ambience of the whole tasting was brilliant. If you then buy some wines, as we did, then you will have the tasting...More

This is one of those serendipity stories. Young American travelling back to Nelson grinds farmer uprooting Apple tress. Falls in love with the place, arranges finance, works ground at weekends and finally makes wine. We loved several of them but in particular the Pinot noir

The lady owner here was excellent. The seeing of the vineyard and the views across the vines to the inlet were stunning. A very informative tasting which led to purchase of their delightful Rose. We have not been to rimu bar down at water front.

We were able to walk to this winery from our B&B and had a great time interacting with Thelma. She explained each wine she poured and made the whole experience lots of fun - and of course we bought some wine.

Dear Gumtree - my sincere apologies. A family emergency left us short-staffed and with the throngs of people, we were overwhelmed. I encourage you to visit again so that we can show you a sample of the great wines Nelson has to offer. Regards, Patrick
