It's well worth visiting this museum. This place is absolutely captivating ! If you like History, this is "The" museum for you. There is a lot of historical pictures and objects that are very interesting. I think that ages from 10 up will probably enjoy...More
Took the opportunity to visit when in Manchester with my daughter and her 3 children. The oldest 10 was studying the 2nd world war in school so found it very interesting. The children really enjoyed the interactive bits in particular. Lunch in the museum was...More
As the title says.A wonderful place to visit when you travel to Manchester. Apart from the high quantity of arms, devices, uniforms and artifacts used in wars where the British army was involved there are also many videos projected on the walls of the museum.
Staying at the local hotel we decided to take a look around and came across this War Museum.
We were well impressed of how informative this establishment was with all it's photos, films, costumes, memrobillias, etc of both the World Wars.
There is plenty to...More

The entrance is very accessible and there is a shop and a cafe which serves cakes and soup/snacks.
This is well worth a couple of hours of your time in Manchester. It’s a lovely contemporary building with some excellent displays. If you follow the ‘route’ you will go through a journey of conflict from WW1 onwards to the present. Although the main space...More
