This place was average. The views are nice on the walk down but none whilst you’re there. 10 dollars gets you 4 samples. Our host however was very welcoming and informative. The wine is processed elsewhereMore

A very relaxed vineyard with wines ready now or ready for the cellar. The rose was wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. It’s a small place without a restaurant. What it lacks in food, it makes up for in its staff and it’s wines

Stopped here for a tasting as part of a tour. Wines were poured into 1 glass. The wines were very young and disappointing. The hostess was disinterested, hardly spoke to us; told us the type of wine we were tasting, poured and walked off. No...More

A lovely calm environment, sitting around a table with family drinking wine, eating cheese & crackers. The staff leave you to your own devices, popping out to top up glasses & briefly explain wines they're pouring. No great view or location but lovely atmosphere.

This comes up as the best for red wine and it was! A lovely girl from Spain did a tasting with us, she was great to sit with. The cellar door is small and intimate, very nice! The wee dog was friendly. All up I'd...More

It is a good bit off the beaten track, but worth the effort. Lyn was a lovely and knowledgeable host. The wines are great (subjective, but the wall of medals indicates some others think so too), the atmosphere very nice and relaxed.

Obsidian takes a bit of work to get to. We hiked the Vineyard Walk to get there (with a few missed turns along the way.) The winery isn't much to look at. Really a porch and a quonset hut. But the red wines, especially the...More

I travel all over the world visiting wine areas. Obsidian has probably the best server/ presenter of wines that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The wines are good and the winemaker has earned awards, but the server on our day (December 11)...More
