If you plan to visit the Stavanger region, then Kjerag must be on your list. Wear good hiking shoes, it’s a must have, otherwise you will slip.

Again I will leave a reviewfor the hikers. Just for you to know that the times you saw on the internet are not that accurate. I made the round trip in three and a half hours. With maybe half an hour for pictures. It is...More

Initially I thought that to hike round trip it would take 6 hours but I completed in 5 hours with around 30 mins rest. The weather was 13-20 degree and sunny. The path consists of mainly big rocks, the ones near the chain are very...More

A challenging hike but easily doable if you hike in the right weather condition with proper gear. I would suggest you check the weather prediction in advance and be prepared for strong winds, rain and slippery conditions. We have been to this place twice earlier...More

Kjerag offers you great view, but you have to work for it. The footpath is nearly 5 km each way and has three steep uphills. The trip starts at 681 meter over the sea and the highest altitude is 1071 meter. Remember to bring good hiking...More

The hike towards the Kjeragbolten is very challenging. It contains a lot of very steep rocky sections. Don't hike when the surface is wet since it will become very slippery. The hike took us about 5 hours including taking the pictures at the top. There...More

Great day of hiking! It is not easy, and the terrain requires good foot wear. I went in my running trainers and even though it was dry and warm that day, I was still slipping on the rocks as they were old trainers with minimal...More

This mountain is one of my favourite places in the world and I've made this hike with a heavy backpack for a 5-day stay on the top of the mountain, as well as with a lighter daypack/camera pack. This summer, circumstances made me choose the...More

The hike was challenging because of the high winds. At moments we had to sit down and hold on to chains, because it was not possible to walk. However the view at the end was worth effort.

Crowded but nice view. Not for people with vertigo - one wrong step and its the last one. Don’t forget to pay the parking spot! Its around 3.000kn. Prices in restaurant downhill are overpriced.

There are some challenging spots where you have to hang onto a chain to pull yourself up the vertical rock faces. There are steep areas and up and down a lot. The trail goes along the edge of high cliffs in spots. The... More
