Great place to stop whilst travelling. The buildings always make you smile, they are original and look really cool, like Tirau. Love looking at all the small shops.

Always fun to see these huge buildings made out of corrugated iron.
For us they’re a perfect stopping point on a trip. Somewhere to stop and stretch your legs as there are heaps of lovey cafes and homeware shops in Tirau high street.

I always enjoy popping in when we are travelling through Tirau the building itself is an icon. It's a good please to shop too with a great selection of merino garments and I like to support NZ companies. I have bought presents here too and a variety of prices means I always find something.

We love seeing these buildings in Tirau. We took Miss 5 there and she loved the animal buildings, she didn't want to leave.

Very amusing buildings that make for a good stop. The dog building is a functioning toilet. The ewe and ram buildings are shops.

I’m sure it would be great. It’s just today we drove into town and we stopped, so went in to see. No one spoke to us to say if they were open or not it seemed as if they were renovating so we left. But I’m not sure. There were no signs out side and I could see people wandering around. They looked interesting enough to stop

We passed through Tirau on our way to Matamata and I just had to stop and wander around to look at all the lovely signs and artwork made out of corrugated steel, what a great way to enhance the main street. Colourful and quirky, and so unique. Definitely worth having a look.

Definitely worth stopping to get a photo outside the dog & sheep buildings. They're quite unique and cleverly done.

Well, it sure is different... driving through a little town and coming across these! Interesting shop in that building with interesting products (great for gifts) and a cafe at the back.
