Whilst there is not much to see other than the layout of the walls the Roman Villa “Els Ametllers” (1st c. BC - 6th c. AD) gives a good insight to the history of Tossa de Mar. SS

You can see the foundations and garden area, and picture what this large villa would have looked like. Some of the finds are at the municipal museum in the old town.

This is well worth a visit if you are in Tossa De Mar. It is free to enter. There is only very limited mosaic flooring to see (one reconstructed mosaic is in the local museum). There is some signage to explain the original layout but...More

Free to enter with a rather nice mosaic. Be aware there are steps so not for everyone. Near the bus station. We spent 45 minutes walking and taking in the site.

Love this site. It's free to enter but if you want to see items from the site you must go to the municipal election museum. The ruins are impressive with some great mosaics

Nice place to visit this archaeological site with roman culture and is a outdoor museum with free entrance. To see all this is took 20 - 30 minutes.

Only a few minutes from the front is this site of a former roman villa. It gives an idea of scale of the property with several good examples of mosaics. There are new steel steps up to the site which are a lot safer than...More

It is free - in the centre of town - but to be honest a bit of a let down. Most of the site is an interpretation of what the layout would have been - one room mosaic floor is worth seeing. Only takes 15...More

The architecture can be discerned in the remains, the best pieces are in other museums though, nice for a stroll, but not for wheelchairs.
