Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a nice trip
The works were amazing, I love it
But takes less more 2 hours to see all the sculptures
Small svounier kan be bought in a good price.
You should visit it when you are in Søndervig

I was intrigued by this sand sculpture festival, especially given the theme of 2019 is robots.
We went late in the afternoon- it’s open until 7pm.

I went with friends who live fairly locally. I think it’s suitable for all ages.

We arrived early morning; It was cold and a little rainy
We had a hot coffee
People were welcoming and children friendly
Our children enjoy the huge sand playground!
The sculptures are amazing and surprisingly connected, even though they have been realized by different renowned sand artists. One of the best discovery during our roadtrip and certainly a must-see in Danemark!

Fantastic exhibition with very skilled artists. Nice place with easy access, also for a wheelchair. But it only takes about 30 min.

You have to see it to really appreciate what talented artists can do with simple ingredients like sand and water - the level of details in the sculptures is amazing. This years theme was WIZARDRY AND MAGIC - and it was hit spot on with trols, dragons, witches and much more.

The sand skulpturs are amazing - all incredibly different in character, and made from artists from all over the world.
These works of art leave you with a sense of wonder - the size of the pieces is impressive. (Enormous).

From the outside it didn't look very impressive. But when we went inside we were pleasantly surprised. The enormous sand wall was beautifully made and full of details. Each sculpture had a sign with names of the makers and some info on the subject in Danish, German and English. After a short coffee break at the kiosk we went round again to see it all once more.
