An extraordinary site, in the Italian Marche, with a huge senatorial dwelling alongside some slightly less impressive vestiges of the forum and an amphitheatre. The villa tells an amazing story of gradually increasingly powerful family, extending their dwelling to match their influence. Very interesting indeed....More

Fascinating to see this Roman villa and town being revealed. We were given an excellent tour. Many of the mosaic floors are in good condition - one is particularly grand and made from coloured marble. The amphitheatre is also used for concerts etc

The Roman town of Suasa with its theatre, the anphitheatre, the Villa and it's musaics is gradually getting on the surface after been covered by sand, mud and earth during centuries
