This is a very old temple with a golden idol of Ganpati which had given its name as Swarna Ganpati Mandir. The idol was stolen few years back. Now this temple is without any idol opposite to its name.

The temple is located in the town centre. Easily distinguished by its red color structure. It can be visited anytime.

This visit was a quiet one. Alongside the diveagar beach. There are lots of stories about the temple.

The mandir had an idol covered in gold and some years back thieves stole it after a break-in. Now the temple is under reconstruction but prayers are still held with the original idol.

Nothing much to see here. Personally I would not recommend unless you are going there to offer Puja.

Suvarn Ganesh temple was the main attraction of Diveagar. Temple used to have Ganesh Idol made up of Gold. It was found from the soil by the local farmer in Diveagar along with some other Gold ornaments. Unfortunately, gold was robbed a few years back...More

We visited the temple and spent some time here. The golden idol is not kept for public viewing. But it is a good palce to spend some time.
