My wife and I stayed in Vilamoura during November 2019 and there was so much work going on to join up the promenade from Quartiera to Vilamoura that access to the beach between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the Tivoli Hotel was limited. We returned there again in March 2020 and the work is still ongoing, with access even more limited than previous. To make the situation worse there are no signs to advise of access closures until you get to the actual fence so have to back track and find an alternative route.

The beach is long and wide. With hotel bunkers in the background more than unattractive. The new parking spaces are ripped off at € 1.20 / hour. For 5 hours you are free of € 6.00. The couch comes with € 20,00. Because everyone likes to make money, the beach cafe wants to cash in too. For an espresso and a small water an incredible € 4.75. Here you get the impression that now everyone wants to get something from the big tourism cake. But that can backfire very quickly. We will never go back to this place. There are far nicer and cheaper places in the Algarve.

We were lucky enough to be staying about 2 minutes from this beach, which is superb.
Great access, wooden walkways giving an easy route along the beach, and a beach bar every 100 metres or so.
Waves quite big so you need to be a reasonable swimmer to cope. Plenty of sun beds for hire, but we thought they were quite expensive.

A lot of people go to the beaches on the other side of the marina, this is a fab spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main beaches. Perfect spot for a bit of midday lunch and to watch the sunset over a jug of Sangria, perfect!

This beach its giant and doesn't have a lot of people. white sands and clear and worm waters.

The beach is sandy but the area close to the sea is a steep slope and you are quickly down into the sea and can easily get out of your depth in the water so watch children on the beach. Boardwalk to Quarteira.

I prefer this beach out of season,perhaps it is because I like it all to myself. It is kept clean with some pleasant refreshment places. Excellent for beach fishing .

We had two half days here and loved the beach as its so long with terrific sand. For two loungers it cost 12 Euro for hlaf a day or 15 Euro's for a whole day. Excellent toilet facilities along the beach.
