Opening at 11am this hall is good shirt visit venue. Lack of signs in the grounds but eventually found the entrance to the hall , gardens and cafe. Pleasant and helpful staff . The walled garden was okay but about 2 or 3 weeks too...More

Most impressed with our recent visit to the glorious kelmarsh hall and gardens ! Upon arrival we found ourselves extremely peckish and managed to find the beautiful tea rooms located perfectly between the car park and the main house. As a group we were all...More

We visited Kelmarsh Hall on a Sunday for an Afternoon Tea. Review is as follows: Car Parking - the Main Car Park is very small relative to potential visitor numbers. The overspill Car Park is in a field which was sodden following morning rain. The...More

The Hall is interesting especially the servants quarters which are imaginatively presented and full of information. The gardens are very much a work in progress and a guided tour is needed to appreciate what they are trying to achieve. Perhaps a bit more tidying up...More

Walking around the gardens and the house is very interesting but the below stairs tour was an opportunity to see how much work was required to maintain the life style of the Gentry

This is possibly our new favourite place! The house itself looks very impressive as you approach, and the rooms that are open live up to this. Room guides are unobtrusive but helpful, and didn't bat an eyelid when my daughter started twirling and dancing in...More

House was beautiful and staff enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Below stairs section was really interesting. Food in the cafe was really fresh and I thought reasonably priced. Tray bake was delicious! Gardens were lovely too, particularly the walled garden.

We didn't visit the house just the gardens .but was all very nice with lovely views and a nice place to sit overlooking the lake. We felt the café was a bit too expensive to eat there. But took a picnic.
