Una chiesetta romanica piena di fascino e originalita': ha una pianta circolare, con absidi in tutti i lati. E' straordinaria e si incastona nell'ambiente circostante pieno di verde e montagne in maniera incredibile. Da vedere!

Quasdi isolata, nella frazione di san Maroto, questa chiesa assai originale: a pianta circolare, con quattro absidi laterali e tozzo campanile. Purtroppo, causa terremoto, al momento della nostra visita era circondata da impalcature.

Bella, bella e con un panorama mozzafiato! Luogo ideale per i matrimoni, è piccolina, un gioiello ma spettacolare. Arrivando dal basso la si nota quasi come stesse arrampicata su una rupe, fuori nel prato adiacente si può ammirare tutta la vallata sotto Camerino fino al lago di Polverina. Speriamo torni anche lei ad essere presto messa a posto per il terremoto.

Conosco questa bellissima chiesa da molti anni. Conobbi anche il parroco, ora passato a miglior vita, che ci ha fatto visitare anche la canonica, interessante quanto la chiesa.
Dopo il terremoto non ci sono più stato perchè voglio ricordarla com'era.
Mi dicono che l'origine è sfumato da contorni magici.
Credo che sia aperta la mattina della domenica, almeno fino al terremoto.
Vale una visita anche se solo all'esterno.

Ho visitato questo chiesa in data 8-1-17. Grazie anche alla piccola strada per raggiungere questa chiesa, ci sembra di ritornare indietro di qualche secolo così da assaporare meglio l'atmosfera del posto. La chiesa purtroppo era chiusa anche se si trattava di domenica mattina ore 10. C'è comunque un cartello vicino all'ingresso con su scritto il numero di telefono eventualmente da contattare per qualche visita. Ho avuto la fortuna di vedere questa chiesa innevata, così da mostrarsi ancora più magica. L'edifico appare semplice ma comunica una grande personalità anche a chi non ne conosce la storia. Per chi ha interesse di captare qualche informazione in più a riguardo c'e un cartellone ben visibile che ne enuncia le caratteristiche architettoniche e storiche. M i ritengo soddisfatto per questo servizio. Il contesto paesaggistico è molto suggestivo; il panorama ben visibile dal giardino retrostante la chiesetta punta in direzione di Camerino (ben visibile) e dei monti di Pioraco. Mentre sulla parte sinistra si può osservare la diga con il lago di Polverina. Alle spalle del paesino dove si trova la chiesa un versante pieno di vegetazione con in secondo piano i monti della valle del Fiastrone. Consigliatissimo.

com'è suggestivo tutto il borgo,un altro dei tanti piccoli gioielli di quest'incredibile regione ma abbiamo trovato tutto assolutamente chiuso ed impossibile da visitare.Peccato non poter rendere fruibili monumenti tanto interessanti

Antico punto astronomico voluto da Carlo Magno, questa chiesetta è conservata con scrupolo e sovrasta la zona con discrezione. E' facilmente raggiungibile dalla superstrada

Facile da raggiungere, non troppo lontana dalla superstrada e in un contesto di serena bellezza nel minuscolo paesino di San Maroto, la chiesa dell'XI secolo in puro stile romanico ha però un'insolita pianta circolare a cui si accostano un bel campanile e tre piccole absidi. Varie sono le supposizioni sul perché di questa particolarità, un cartello esplicativo sul posto ne dà informazione. Solitamente aperta per la Messa domenicale, altrimenti chiedere in giro chi ha le chiavi, di solito in questi paesini funziona così. L'interno è spoglio ma suggestivo con la copertura a cupola e resti di pitture nel vano sottostante il campanile. Raccomandata agli amanti dell'arte!

Questa chiesa imperdibile è aperta solo la domenica, ma in bacheca è riportato il numero di telefono di una signora, che molto gentilmente ha mandato il marito. Ottima guida per una visita che merita per la bellezza del sito e per le particolari storie che lo riguardano
