A very good selection of locally made pottery, from small jugs to large vases, with a variety of painted designs - we particularly like the birds. Also noticed a Swaledale sheep design, nice but think a Herdwick would be more unique and saleable. Reasonable prices....More

Excellent lunch, good variety of food and good service. The Aston pottery is very nice for special gifts as rather expensive. I have several mugs that has been given to me and my husband by my family for Christmas and birthdays.

A great lunch break. Excellent coriander and carrot soup accompanied by freshly baked soda bread. The salads were freshly made and imaginatively put together. Splendid all round again and value for money. Thanks! 🙂

In March 2017 I wrote a review that said that the salads, that went with the quiche, were rather dull. Every visit the same green salad and coleslaw. NO longer! Hooray, lovely grated carrot and beet slaw with apricots and raisins - such a fresh...More

Not in the shop and cafe, however there is seating outside where I am sure a dog would be acceptable to sit with you if you were having food and drink from the cafe.
