Perth Zoo is situated on the opposite side of the Swan River from Perth CBD. The best way to get to the Zoo is by ferry from Elizabeth Quay which takes about 8 minutes. The Zoo is well laid out & easy to navigate around....More

Perth Zoo was a surprise in that it was bigger than we expected, and has a great community of animals - all apparently well cared for in pleasant enclosures and surrounds. The zoo also works closely with its Docent Association of volunteers, which is a...More

There is a wide variety of animals here, kept in decent enclosures. There are a variety of themed walking trails, which makes for a nice peaceful stroll to see animals from around the world. Worth checking out.

Personally I think this is the best zoo in Australia. The animals are in well thought out enclosures for their comfort and public viewing. The environment for the public is fantastic because it’s like wandering through a rainforest etc... Would highly recommend

A large group of us went midweek on a mild and showery day. You would think the rain would ruin the day out but instead it enhanced the experience. Most of the animals were active and clearly visible. In such weather we found a rain...More

Very nice zoo. Easy to walk around. It has a large grassy area to eat lunch. The best part was the kangaroo section. No fences! Kangaroos were everywhere. Got up close and personal.

Hi. You are not allowed to feed the animals in Perth Zoo. But it is a fantastic place to visit. Well worth going. But go to Caversham Wildlife Park to interact with animals. Well worth a visit. Enjoy.
