Beautifull beach, perfect waves for beginners and before sunset the buffalo's for the best pictures! You can't hide from the surf teachers when you arrive... But also when its a bit overwhelming and annoying: try one and if you like try more. Best place to...More

We rode out to Selong Belanak Beach from Kuta for the day. It was a bit of a haul....45 minutes or so by scooter and there is a bit of road construction along the way however, the beautiful views along the way make up for...More

If you want to learn how to surf, this is the place. Board hire and good, friendly instructors always available. Beach and waves almost always accessible.

Definitely one of the best beaches in Lombok. The sand was so soft I felt like walking on a carpet! The view is mesmerizing and there are pretty good seaside cafes & restaurants. On the afternoon, a group of buffalos pass by and it's a...More

The beach is large and has many bars and restaurants. You can rent chairs and umbrellas. The good thing was that there were not that many sellers compared to other beaches. All the boys are so friendly

Beautiful place. Very clean. You can learn how to surfing, no coral no rocks on the beach, only very soft sand. There is one place also nearby named sempiak resto. The food is super. And they have perfect place for you to get massages. For...More

Excellent beach, mid size waves so suits beginners. If you're not a surfer don't worry there are lots of body surfing options. Many things to do - beach restaurants, spa, just laze around

We stayed just across the road from the beach and was very fortunate. It stays relatively quiet throughout the day with a nice mix of locals and tourists. There are lots of places to hire surf/boogie boards and to get lessons, and the waves are...More

I don’t know, I expect so, but it’s also pretty cheap to get drivers.

Hi there, I was there in 2016 & all I did was just turn up & just talk to some of the warungs owner which most will offer you surf lessons & also beach chairs. Just remember to ask a few so you could compare the price.

Hello Gulum, no need to book surfing lessons at Selong Belanak. Plenty of 'warungs' offer lessons; much competition among them that's why one shouldn't pay the USD 45 mentioned by another traveller. Bargain to around USD 30... More
