We loved our visit to bolam lakes, great walk around the lake, fed the swans from the jetty. Pity it was spoiled by inconsiderate dog walkers who think it's okay to allow their dogs to to run wild around small children. Jetty Lake accident waiting...More

Just lovely for a walk around the lake and in the woods. Parking is free which is a bonus! We’ve never been to the coffee shop as it always seems to be closed when we’re there, but the Blacksmiths in Belsay is highly recommended.

A very nice countryside walk around a large lake packed with wildlife. Great for dogs, cyclists etc. Plenty of places to sit, picnic and there's a coffee shop to.

Enjoyed a nice family stroll around the lake. There’s not an awful lot of routes around the park. In fact, you’re able to walk around the whole lake in around fifteen minutes.

Visited on saturday for a walk. Ive very recently had a hip replacement so chose Bolam lake as its flat and easily walked. Lovely little place. Great for dogs. Will go back with a picnic sometime.

This is a great place to try and see some wildlife. If you are lucky you might see some red squirrels, roe deer, great spotted woodpeckers and nuthatches. You'll find a number of picnic tables in the main picnic area. The best access to the...More

Well, there are accessible parts, but if it has been raining, the paths do get churned up very quickly. The Zig-zag path from the car-park to the lake, is quite steep and can be very slippy underfoot for your pusher, but if... More

I do not know for sure but I know we walked all round the lake and there was a few little jetties to stand on where you may place a canoe but no where for anything bigger like boats as there is no access ramps. Your best bet... More
