This is a great little spot for a visit if you can find it. As instructions say it's just past Boncath, look for 2 gate houses and a drive that says private. ignore the sign and drive through the gates down the narrow lane. At...More
Wow! Wow! Wow! It's quite hard to find, but very much worth it. Especially if you're into follies or quirkiness! The history behind it is wonderful & the amount of time, love & work that has gone into it, makes you really appreciate this wonderful...More
A friend of mine recreated this amazing tiny shell house years ago and now it's back open to the public. If you want to see exactly how it was done in the victorian times this is a fine example. And very rare to see such...More
We read up on the Shell House prior to our holiday in Wales so knew we had to visit on a Thursday. The shell house is situated on private land and is only open Thursday's.
The drive onto the land can leave you thinking you're...More

Found this via Google - otherwise I wouldn't have found it. There are no signposts at the entrance, just drive in through the gates between the lodges. Go down the drive until you reach a small dedicated car park on your right. Then just walk...More

Hi Anna. I haven't been back for many years since it was refurbished but from what I have read there doesn't seem to any information about dogs. I would imagine the sign that is apparently posted outside the tiny building it should say. It is the grounds of a mansion house running as a B & B and Holiday cottages though which you can't really see from the Shell house. There seems to be a small car park near the Shell House and it opens on a Thursday only apparently. I would take my dog and leave in the car which is quite safe just in case no dogs allowed in the grounds. The shell house is tiny but magical. Enjoy :-).
