We visited during heritage week and admission was free. The cottage looks like something out of a fairytale and has been lovingly restored. I would recommend a visit and the walk from cahir castle to the cottage is lovely on a sunny day

Lovely walk from Cahir Castle to the Swiss cottage. Cottage itself is a little gem and gives an insight into the life of the wealthy in 19th Century Ireland. Very picturesque and full of little quirky details.

The river walk from Cahir town to the Swiss cottage is absolutely amazing. There are so many magnificent trees. The cottage itself is delightful and the guided tour informative and interesting.

The sign at Cahir Castle said 1 Mile to Swiss Cottage...I think it is a little longer but a good walk and not too strenuous. This building is very interesting and quite different to the normal Irish Tourist offering. Our guide (earlier this week) was...More
