Beautiful Abbey free to see Don’t miss it! Park along the road and climb the stone wall. You can see it from Rock of Cashel. Step back in time and imagine this beautiful structure

Saw this on our way out of Cashel and it was a fabulous little detour! There’s no tour or anything but you can just walk around the old abbey. You learn about it on the tour at Cashel, so it was neat to apply the...More

A free excursion just downhill from the Rock of Cashel. Take the time to have a walk around - just be wary of the cow pats in the nearby field!

You can see the abbey ruins down the hill if you peek through the rock wall at the Rock of Cashel. Just take the path to the right as you exit, and you can walk down the hill and across the road to get to...More

On a whim, we took the exit for Cashel on the way from Limerick back to Dublin (saw the castle sigh). The Abbey is free (nice), has good access and reasonable parking (again it is free) - but it has a fabulous view from the...More

This is just a little walk down the path along the side of Cashel. It is delightfully quiet as most visitors to Cashel often miss it. There is a lovely walk around it and the site is so peaceful it is well worth stretching your...More

Just below the Rock of Cashel in a large open field. Fun to just walk around and check out. Well worth a visit if you are at the Rock.

Not really sure if this was closed due to the Off Season or just not really available to the public. A beautiful old abbey that appeared to be in fine shape, but was only viewable from a road side or overlook Hotel. A little disappointing...More

The ruins are in the middle of a field and are an easy walk from the Rock of Cashel. There are no interpretive signs to give information so you may want to read up on it before visiting. Our visit was brief.

There is not a parking lot. We just parked on the side of the road next to the gate. You have to walk through a cow pasture on a cement sidewalk to get there. It is well worth the time.
