Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We received a superb welcome from the Professional and were very lucky with the weather, dry and sunny with a fresh breeze.
The course is relatively short, in theory, but on occasion I had to hit six or seven irons off the tee as you look out and see only slivers of fairway. Obviously you would have a better idea on where to miss, if you were playing the course for a second time, however first time round it can be quite intimidating particularly on the front nine. My wife struggled with some of the carries to the fairway. The stroke one must be amongst the toughest holes in Ireland.
The back nine opens up more and pars become quite gettable. The design overall is creative and clever and I would love to return.
In the last 25 years I have played many of the great links courses of the Wild Atlantic Way, now priced so that only American Millionaires need apply, this course costs less than a tenth of the price of these and is not only as good a test but gives you an unparalleled feeling of Irish hospitality. We paid 25 euros each for superb golf within half an hour of Dublin, incredible!

A gem of a Links - one not to be missed especially as it doesn't carry the hefty price tag of some of the more fashionable courses in the Dublin area! Norman (Scot in Ireland) the club pro, was warm and welcoming and enthused about the course and its condition.
I played early June this year at around 5pm when the wind had just started to gather pace and the rain was threatening - but absolutely loved the course and didn't get wet either.
All the wholes are different and the greens were in fabulous condition with plenty or breaks and burrows to keep you concentrating.
The views are stunning from several wholes which run next t the beach and the breeze changes direction depending on hole location - just so you don't get bored.
Leave the driver in the bag for you first round and then play again when you have an idea of where you can let rip.

W played Corballis on the last day of a week long golfing trip to Ireland and couldn't praise it highly enough. Its a short links golf course near the sea and can be difficult if you aren't accurate of the tee. The staff are very pleasant too especially Norman who went above the call of duty.

Very tricky course. The first hole lures you in. And after that it's pretty tough sailing. Very narrow landing areas. Greens are tough with many multi-level. Short but harder than the yardage would suggest. I am playing again next week and hope to remove the triple a couple of doubles that were largely due to me not knowing where I was going. Wind a factor too. For the price it is awesome.

We played last Thursday and it is a fantastic course in excellent condition. The greens were superb. We received an extremely friendly welcome in the pro shop and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The course is tremendous value for money

A great course for straight hitters with amazing views. Balls can be lost anywhere, eg, 2m from greens and fairways, due to the knarly nature of the rough. It's still a joy to play, especially now (January) when every Irish parkland course is either closed, or more bog than parkland.

Arrived at the course with some enthusiasm to be slightly disappointed by the clubhouse which is more like an old shed. When we started off on this course on the sunday morning we were expecting a nice polished links course. True it may be a public course but the first 9 promised alot. The first 9 were certainly polished and good challenging holes but on the back 9 theres seems to have been a lack of thought and cohesion put into the holes. There are 5 or 6 holes which are crossing over which is a real hazard. Players are playing all around you on different holes and the chance of being hit by a ball is quite high. The price was indeed good for the links golf but at the same time I don't think I will play this course again due to the back 9.

It's always a pleasure to play here. Depending on the wind your game changes... you need course management around here but when you finish you will want to come back again . Situated out near Donabate ... this course is next door to the island which is expensive to play.... but this course is just as good for 1/4 the price... links course at it's best...

I've lived in Ireland for a few months now but never played a Links course before. I decided on Corballis because it was supposed to be a great day and I wanted to take advantage of the fact that the course is on the Coast and would get a decent breeze. I was really impressed by the good condition of the course. The fairways were well manicured and the greens looked great. Overall this was a great first time on a Links course and first round at Corballis. It won't be my last!

Corballis is a public course not far from the tony Portmarnock. I visited in October of 2004, it was windy, chilly, and sunny. The course has a number of very beautiful holes played along the Irish Sea. With some of the holes, the topography prevented you from seeing the green, or even the fairway, the landscape was exactly what you would expect from an Irish course. As the back nine moved along, the quality of the holes trended down, 13-16 are really pitiful, but forgettable given the fun on the other holes. The price was very fair. If you want the Irish golf experience without spending 150 Euros, I'd recommend Corballis.

Do you have a good selection of rental clubs, and should I book these in advance?
