Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The church was very commercial and not for praying. More interested in your money as you pay to go in. Men were eating and wearing hats. Lot if don’t care tourist I was shocked how religion is second best to money. Also chat and laughter and a poor experience

Thoroughly enjoyable trip to St Patrick's Cathedral made memorable by the tour guide with his sense of humour and ability to not take the issues Ireland have faced to seriously throughout the tour. Get the tour it's a must for this visit

Rich of architecture and very nice to walk around but it can get a bit too crowded around lunch time. I think it would be best to get a private tour as you can get better insight of the cathedral

There isn't loads to say about St. Patrick's Catholic Church. I have enjoyed a visit upon occasion and I would certainly go back again. The grounds outside is home to a small "grotto" with a statue of the Virgin Mary.
On a sunny day, as the light pours through the windows inside the Church, the views are quite enjoyable. It certainly isn't like Christ Church in Dublin or something "fancy", but it is a solid building with lovely features. If you are in Donabate, and it is open, stop in, have a look and say a prayer.

Our family of 4 visited the cathedral and was lucky enough to get a basically private tour with Sophie, a cathedral guide. She was very knowledgeable and we had a wonderful experience with her guidance. Highly recommend the informal tour.

Cute church within a friendly community, wouldn't go out of my way to visit but nice to look at when passing by or dropping in to see the beautiful paintings on the ceiling, intricate designs at the alter and amazing coloured glass.
