The really interesting aspect of these amazingly created ”gardens within gardens” is that they began life as a patch of land owned by NSW State Railways which had been neglected for more than a century. It was overgrown with lantana and being used as an...More

Sloping garden trails down to Lavender Bay foreshore with it's boardwalk to Luna Park and yachts moored closeby. Garden is magnificent and has lawned areas to sit and enjoy the view.

This is definitely one of the best public garden spaces I've visited. And the back story makes it even more enticing. A great spot for a picnic or just a stroll but allow yourself a bit of time! Loved it.

Wendy and her gardeners and volunteers need to be congratulated on this inner city oasis which just keeps on improving. The pine bark has lifted the visual presence of the garden, and the quirky ornaments also add to the experience.

An enchanting garden with space to simply have quiet time. Also, lovely to see that the local Council has not taken over with signs and rules that would take away from this creative little spot. Would definitely advise not to visit in the really hot...More
