This valley is hidden away and yet there is so much to see. The valley has a stream which goes from ponds over several waterfalls down the hillside. It is really great for taking photographs, though the terrain is quite testing.

A lovely little place for a walk and very interesting. We parked at the top of the hill by the school and walked down by the waterfall. Some bits are steep and a little slippy but quite walkable. We then walked up the main road...More

Great for photography. Great place for children though strict supervision would be essential in parts. There's more than I expected here. To find it follow Sat Nav which should take you to the school. Outside/opposite is a few free parking spaces for visitors to the...More

Had a lovely afternoon walking here over the weekend. It is very hidden, I didn’t even know it was there. A lovely place to wander around, lots of hidden wonders here. The waterfalls are stunning. Definitely recommend a walk here.

The road directly north of Lumsdale valley has a free layby (opposite the school). Have a good trip.

If you park by the school and follow the river until you want to turn around and come back you will be able to retrace steps following the river back upstream.

There isn't a car park. It isn't an attractionh, it's a steep wooded valley. You'll need to park somewhere else, probably by the school at the top and walk. Take proper walking boots too.
