With tombstones dating to the 1700s, sarcophagi, gargoyles, and a pagan-Christian cross, this is a beautiful and fascinating church to explore.

Historic Norman style church in the middle of town. Very old cemetery that is worth looking at. Built around 1050ad, with some knights tombs inside.

A wonderful building over looking Bakewell. Full of interesting cravings, features and structures. There is a public footpath leading to fields further up the hill. There's some good views of the town from here and the church grounds have some intriguing lanes and paths around...More

The church is easily spotted, as it is on a small hill. It is surrounded by a graveyard, and in the graveyard stands a Saxon cross (without the top part) which on one side has pagan symbols, and on the other Christian symbols, probably chosen...More

Worth a visit to see the ancient crosses outside and inside the church.Wonderful situation overlooking the town.

A fantastic structure over looking Bakewell. Full of interesting features and monuments. A bit of a steep hill but worth it

This church is well worth a short walk up a hill. It is clearly well looked after and there are some wonderful stone carvings and alabaster tombs

Up a hill but worth the walk. Nice church, Well maintained. Lovely windows and some great stones and history inside the church as well as 2 stone crosses outside to find. Great local history.
