Visited this Sunday with my partner. I am disabled (osteoarthritis in my knee) but I was able to climb the steps, albeit very slowly, and there are alternative paths which are less taxing, so I felt the owners/management had definitely made efforts to help less...More

Thank you so much for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your visit to the gardens at Iford and a cream tea. It is very much a go-slow garden and as you say, we have tried to make it as accessible as possible...More

Stunningly beautiful gardens, reasonable entry fee. Dog friendly. Perfect place to wander and reflect , so pleased we decided to visit. One slight disappointment with the tea shop facilities and lack of choice but led to believe a new cafe is on the cards.

The eclectic mix of Italianate and classic artefacts to be found around these gardens make it more than just a wander around borders and lawns.

Thank you so much for your lovely review and kind comments about the teas. The gardens are a great example of Peto's intelligent design with regard to the use of space, the borrowed views of the valley, and the importance of hidden sound and half-hidden...More
