    Friday made my day
I took myself away for a few nights to Portrush, and decided to stop here on the way through. Booking was easy and reasonably priced. The host was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny too. The alpacas were clearly well cared for, and were beautiful friendly animals. The site itself was clean and well maintained, and had hand washing facility to use at the end. The trek was manageable from a physical point. As I'm not overly mobile, I was concerned, but it was taken at a leisurely pace. At the end, I had the opportunity to go into the enclosure to pet, hug and feed the alpacas. This experience was definitely the highlight of my trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I highly recommend this experience. I also would say, that from a mental health perspective, the calming effect this activity, and the one to one connection between you and your alpaca have, is greatly therapeutic. I know it helped me. Thanks to all at North coast alpacas, and especially to my alpaca called Friday.

    Best Day Ever 💓
We booked the Alpaca Trek to celebrate my friends birthday. The welcome we received was very warm and friendly. The location was fantastic and The Alpacas were amazing so friendly and cuddly. Our Alpaca Ollie was amazing with my daughter who is autistic. She had so much fun. By the end of our time we wanted to steal our Alpaca and bring him home. We will definitely be making a return visit.

    Amazing Experience.
Today we visited North Coast Alpaca’s & it did not disappoint. Jonny was amazing with my girls, introducing them to each of the male alpaca’s. Jonny has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to alpaca’s & the girls enjoyed every minute of it. All evening, our friends & family heard all about Don & Friday - the excitement of telling everyone about the alpaca’s! If you’re visiting the North Coast this summer, be sure to visit North Coast Alpaca’s - a very different experience & gets the entire family involved. We loved our visit, huge thanks to Jonny & the boys!

We had a really fun time, I'd recommend it for couples wanting a laugh and to get near to some very cute Alpacas. The experience lasted over an hour and the owner was hilarious with his stories 🤣. My husband Sean enjoyed his birthday treat very much. Get yourself here folks, it's blooming beautiful!! 🦙❤️👍🏻 Liam and Sean

    Great family activity
We visited North Coast Alpacas as a family along with my mum who has dementia. We wanted to take her somewhere she would remember going to as her short term memory is poor. She had a wonderful time, feeding, petting and engaging with the alpacas. They were so gentle with her, you would have thought they knew she was a special person. Jonny and Cheryl were great, so informative and welcoming. We brought our own picnic and enjoyed the fantastic views. We picked up a few things to take home in the alpaca shack. It was a great day out. We’ve already recommended to friends.

This was a last minute decision during our 12 day Northern Half of Ireland and Northern Ireland trip. The night before our trek I sent an email to Jonny and Cheryl asking about availability, location and if they sell their alpaca fleece. I was not expecting an answer given the late hour and short notice, but Cheryl responded immediately and was very helpful with navigating their website, selecting and scheduling our Alpaca walk for the next afternoon. When we got lost and couldn’t find the address I emailed them and within seconds Cheryl was standing out at the edge of their home driveway with baby on hip giving us directions to the farm entrance. You just don’t get customer service like that in the US! The experience was fabulous even with the rain. Jonny was wonderful, funny and genuinely loves his “pacas”! I also felt he genuinely cares about their customers. He had the fleece of his best fiber producer, Lou and a couple of others to chose from and Jonny gave me Lou’s fleece, and it is divine!
This is a small working family farm and It is a very personal and intimate experience. They have 5 alpacas so the groups are small. You can very easily have at least 2 people per alpaca and you can switch leaders. I am a fiber artist, and work with alpaca fiber regularly and I love it and the alpacas, but I have never before had the opportunity to have an up close experience like this! It was one of the highlights of my trip, I may be just a tiny bit biased, as I have an unusually strong love of fiber seeds! I would recommend this experience, it would be great for families and adults alike. I wish we could have done the sunset trek, but we had to move on to our next outing. The only thing I would note is their website is not user friendly, it didn’t have their address, and google maps doesn’t recognize the address, but don’t let that discourage you, just email them and they will answer. I am happy I did!

We had a great afternoon with Johnny and his gorgeous alpacas! He really made everyone feel at ease, from tots to oldies like me and I know they are keen to be inclusive of everyone regardless of age and ability. It was relaxed and we really got to know the individual characters of the 5 furry friends. Highly recommended!

Had a great time with these gentle boys. We got to feed. Walk and cuddle the alpacas. Great views of the north coast .Jonny shared a wealth of information about these fascinating creatures and answered all our questions . It was so therapeutic to sink our hands into their beautiful coats.
Highly recommend both my 8 and 14 year old loved the hour we spent with them.

I visited here with the family as the children were so very keen to see the Alpacas. It was also my very first time to have ever seen an Alpaca, despite being 42 years of age!! There is a picnic area where we all brought a picnic and we got to feed and walk the Alpacas around the farm and everyone enjoyed themselves. The owners of the farm are extremely welcoming and very friendly!! They also sell excellent merchandise which the kids loved! Thank you so very much for making this a fun day for everyone!!

We visited North Coast Alpacas for a second time and will definitely return again. We intend to make this a family summer tradition!
Jonny and Cheryl are wonderful hosts and the Alpacas are so friendly and affectionate - they couldn't fail to make a dull day brighter and a good day even better!
The charm of this activity is that the Alpacas are at the centre of the experience and their welfare is obviously top priority!
Such a privilege to spend time with these lovely creatures 😁

We had a lovely morning with the alpacas and loved cuddling them and learning about them ( we walked Teddy and Don, our boys loved it). They all have their own unique personalities and quirks.
It's clear that the alpacas are very well loved and cared for by the owners.
We all felt so calm afterwards, they really lifted our spirits.
Great experience (especially with kids)
