Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Typical of the small harbours along this stretch of coast, the scenery is based around the tidal river and mud flats. It has the advantage of having a free car park (when the tide is not high) so you don't have to pay the parking fees charged by the NT at some of the neighbouring Staithes. Nice place for a walk. We visited on a couple evenings on the way home from a day-trip as it is good place to sit and watch the activity on the water. On the Sunday afternoon we visited there was a pop-up stall selling hot drinks (don't know if it is there every Sunday?)

Found that we could walk to beach from village. Set off with dog. Was a lovely walk having left harbour area all we could here was bird song and cows. Walked down to beach and along a bit via the dunes - came back on flat. Was wonderfully having space without people. Quite a few people were along the walkway but easier enough to pass. The view of marshes and water were very different on the way there and back showing how quickly the water changes the view.

We were fortunate with a late high tide. So not too busy. We managed to park and get set up 1¾ hours before high tide. We therefore had that time exploring down to the open sea and back up several creeks before arriving at Burnham Sluice just after high tide. A nice paddle back on the gently ebbing tide.
No toilets. Free parking. Kayak hire available, but not used by us.

This was the first time we have visited this beach. Ample parking and what a view. Small boats, paddle boards and sails peppered the waterways. Dunes and hills in the distance that you can get ferried over to. There was also the option of boat rides. With the boat 'welcome' having a ramp for ease of access- no need to step down into the boat. The whole place gave a sense of calm. We had lunch at The Hero Pub and decided to take the short walk to the beach area, having an ice cream from the van. Perfect afternoon

We love Burnham Overy Staite. The creake is a delight to swim and paddle board in. We love Dead Man's Hole where it is lovely to swim in. If you like paddle boarding then try it at high tide and travel amongst the little salt marsh channels.

Parked for free at the harbour. Walked for 40 minutes on a narrow stony path. Then up and down a dune. The beach is very attractive. There are no toilets, we peed in the sand. No facilities, take a picnic and drinks. The water is clear and has fish in. The worst thing is the swarms of insects. Bees, wasps, beetles, ants, sand flies and tiny black flies.

Beautiful walk that follows a small stretch of the Norfolk Coast path, but then zigzags along raised banks through the salt marshes to a stunning beach. Wear sensible shoes and take some water as it’s very exposed.

Lovely walk across Burnham Overy Staithe to the beach , the beach was stunningly beautiful, and almost deserted , luckily not windy! Some bird watchers on the walk, & could hear the flocks of birds above at times very enjoyable morning spent here
