I visited the museum in July 2018 and it was not remotely busy, which was surprising, as it had a very good and rewarding exhibition on, including the large painting of Marthe bathing. Plus a number of other works which I really enjoyed seeing. I...More

This summer’s Inspirantes, Inspiratrices exhibition was a little gem with well curated works from most of Bonnard’s contemporaries including the ubiquitous Picasso.

The Bonnard's that are housed in the Musee Bonnard are delightful, full of his usual warmth and gentleness, and the museum has some charming Vuillards, Denis, Matisses, Signacs and so on. but I do wish there were a few more of their main artist. I...More

I had a marvelous afternoon here. Exactly what you need after morning on a beach and water-sports. Very nice exhibition about lady’s, who inspired various impressionist artists. Being a big fan of this movement in art I did enjoy the visit to Musée Bonnard very...More

I knew very little of Bonnard before I went, but it is worth taking the slight detour out of Cannes- buses run from the centre every 10 minutes. So much better than the crowded touristy galleries in Nice/Antibes, probably as you do have to make...More

The museum is spectacular and the facilities are up to date. The staff is very friendly and I got a faculty discount despite not being from France. My only problem is that the collection is so small and the walls are too dark to display...More

Thanks for your congratulations. Only one part of the collection is now on display because of the temporary exhibition - Pierre Lesieur - Intérieurs, a major artist of the second School of Paris, and very close to Pierre Bonnard. Colours of the walls are changed...More

In an interesting buildings mixing new and old architecture, close to the picturesque Cannet, you find this excellent presentation om Bonnard, his different styles, his life, and his philosophy as a painter. It is sparse which ads to the quality. The shop has ample litterature...More

Nice museum. Clean, stylish and nice location. But I was looking forward to the overflowing colour fest, patterns, distorted perspectives and intensity of Bonnard. And it felt like we only got a teaser, with a handful of these, while a lot of the paintings where...More
