We went to the lookout for the eclipse and it was just amazing! Not being from Brisbane I found the lookout breathtaking with its views of the city and surrounding areas. There is a little cafe in the main parking area that was open several...More

You can walk up, bike up or drive up, look for native wildlife as you walk, koala spotting. Lots of beautiful bird sounds. Great view of the City. The new LoveWell café is a big improvement , check their opening times before you go up,...More

Visitors are often directed to Mt Cootha for expansive city views but a local gem lies much closer to the city center. Mt Gravatt is to the south of the city but provides a broader and closer view of the city and beyond to Moreton...More

Our 9 yr old started the radiation one birthday, we get fish’n’chips from local C7 Seafoods and drive up the mountain to perch on the stone wall and watch the sun go down over the Bris skyline. Low tech family fun. It can get a...More

My sons and I bushwalked up to the peak so we were pretty hungry when we got there. It was 3 or 4 minutes to 2pm (or maybe it was 3pm, anyhoo...) when we walked in and we were greeted by a nice waitress who...More

Went up to the lookout to enjoy the sunset and view of the city and was not disappointed! You can bring your own chair or sit on a bench. There's a cafe up there too. Haven't tried it though.

Back home we’d call it a hill...of the size one would eat for breakfast. But here, anything taller than a snowman on a summer’s day is a mountain. Joking aside, I didn’t really know where it was until I happened to be on Logan Road...More

Lovely feel in the cafe with a nice view from the south of Brisbane. Pleasant service, clean amenities and disabled parking available. Glad we went and will gladly take visitors to visit.

Technically no. They close the gates so cars can't get through but if you wanted to, you could still walk through. I wouldn't recommend it though as it is dark and slippery.

Sorry, I have never been up to the lookout at night, however I have never seen the gate closed during daylight hours. My wife and I lived at Mount Gravatt years ago and we have had many walks and drives up the mountain... More
