I recently did the 3-hour excursion with 3 girlfriends and it was incredible — the highlight of our trip! Desi was our guide and he was so knowledgable and so much fun! He guided us over the obstacles expertly, and made us feel really comfortable. He also took the most incredible pics and videos of us. You can tell how passionate he is about his work, and it made the whole experience even more special!
We did the 5:30 trip, which I highly recommend because we got to see the beautiful scenery in the light and stargaze at night.
The experience was well worth the money and we will definitely be going again!

We came to Big Bear for a long weekend to get away from the insanity of the LA area. 3 couples with zero plans outside of just getting to the air b&b. Little did I realize that Big Bear was reopening a lot of activities and places to stay on the same weekend.
Lo and behold! Jesse at Big Bear Jeep Experience came to the rescue not once, but twice! Two days in a row we booked tours with BBJE. The first day was a learning experience while taking a more scenic tour. Jesse made the tour so much better with his wittiness and knowledge of Big Bear. The second tour, literally 24 hours later, was booked when we returned from the first trip. On the second trip, we decided to take on some actual rock crawling. Jesse was coaching and encouraging us the whole way, telling us what we needed to correct and when.
Overall, everyone in our group, even the couple of nervous ones, had an excellent time.
Thanks Jesse for such an unforgettable time making memories with our friends!

This Jeep Adventure and Brent as our guide was amazing!!! Brent was energetic, super positive, patient, and awesome! He was great at giving us instructions in getting through some challenging and exhilarating parts of the trail as well as telling us all about the history of Big Bear. We had a blast and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. I would do it again and recommend the tour for anyone who enjoys a thrilling off road adventure!

Our family of 5 LOVED this adventure and our awesome guide Tory. Having previously done a Jeep adventure in Utah, we knew we'd have fun, but this experience exceeded our expectations! Tory was super animated and shared fun stories of Big Bear history, and he gave excellent instructions for navigating the trails and rocks. He even guided my husband into driving up a huge boulder so that, at our peak, we were staring up at the tops of the trees! We did the 3-hour trip and we loved being able to make stops along the way to play in the snow and take pictures. Tory also took our phones to take pictures and video along the way, too. We didn't even have to ask. Tory also offered us dining tips and his suggestions were legit! This was a splurge activity, but well worth it. So grateful for the fun and the memories. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was Brent, he was AMAZING. You can tell when someone has a passion and he is definitely passionate about the history of the area and it's landmarks, and as a bonus he's an EXCELLENT driver and teacher.
We booked John Bull East trail and "the Squeeze" I drove half and my girlfriend (who was nervous about driving my jeep) drove the other half. Brent taught us how to negotiate some pretty fun obstacles without damaging the jeep, all the while giving us a detailed history of each area, plant, and rock formation we passed on our trip.
We're planning on doing more tours with Big Bear Jeep Experience as soon as possible. If I could give 6 stars I would!

This was a great experience. Loved being in the outdoor and seeing the beautiful nature of the Big Bear area. This company was awesome. They were able to confirm the reservation and give us all the details we needed.
Desi was our guide. He did a great job with the history of the area and the instructions to make us feel comfortable.
This was our first time on a jeep adventure and we had no experience. We did the Squeeze trip and it was a blast. Lots of instruction to make you feel comfortable.
I'd advise bringing some wipes for after, to get some of the dirt off your face and glasses.
Strongly advise giving this a try...you'll love it.

Omg, we had soooooo much fun doing a Jeep tour with Cali! We did the intermediate tour and it was above and beyond what we had expected! The Jeeps were seriously awesome with 8” lifts and 37” tires and we were able to do off-roading obstacles we could never do on our own. I would highly recommend this company and also mention that they have other tours too. We will probably come back for a Can-Am buggy tour next time! 😛

Our first time ever off-roading and it turned out to be an amazing experience. We took the ‘Squeeze’ tour. It was the highlight of our week in the Big Bear - Palm Springs area!
Our tour guide, Manga, was very friendly, helpful, and kept us entertained throughout. He also guided us first-timers very nicely, making it all look easy while experiencing the thrill.
Highly recommend this tour.

This was our first adventure with Big Bear Offroad Experience and it was everything we hoped for and more. The Heartbreak Ridge area is remote and rugged. I can't imagine attempting some of the trails in a regular four-wheel drive vehicle, but the Can Am 3's crawled straight through the sketchiest terrain without a problem. This is a great way to see a beautiful area of Big Bear that would be impossible without access to a high-performance UTV. The BBOE crew was friendly and helpful. Our guide coached us through the technical details like a pro and we had a great time.

Our family booked the Squeeze tour. We have never done any sort of off-roading or rock crawling. This was a fantastic introduction. Our guide, Charlie, was very informative, giving us a lot of fun and interesting facts and stories about the history of Big Bear and surrounding areas. He was also exceptionally patient, helpful and encouraging in teaching us the basics of off roading and rock crawling, and he was even kind enough to take some video and family photos for us. We had a blast and we will definitely come back for some of the more challenging tours.

What are the prices for the Jeep tours? ATV's?
Written 31 July 2016
It's only a jeep tour -- no ATVs here. Call them for pricing as they have many different tour options.
