Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This establishment refuses to reserve lanes for large parties over the phone because they want you to show up and put your name on a wait-list. They lie about their wait times to make sure you hang around and spend money in the arcade, buying food/drinks. Initially, they told us 1 hour, then it got changed to 2 hours. After waiting 2 hours, spending over 200 on the arcade and food, we asked how much longer for the bowling lane, we were told another hour. When we complained that they were being dishonest about their wait times, the owner started cursing, calling us "fking entitled" and telling us we were trespassing. 3 other employees started screaming at us and physically pushing us out the door. The staff is horrible, the owner is racist and they are clearly working out a system to gouge customers who come to bowl. Do not give this people your hard earned money, they're awful.

We walked in and we agreed by very sour faced woman with long brown hair. You can even crack a smile. The guy at the register jumped in and asked us if we need help. Then I found out how much it was $60 for one hour at the time you as soon as you leave there pay station , you have to pick shoes and a ball and and get set up as they are timing you for bowling time it’s a rip off. we are locals as soon as our first time going

We went on a Saturday night as a family outing. The people here were drunk, loud, using profanity and smoking, INSIDE (is that even legal). People were just throwing the balls with not waiting or caring about the bowlers sharing the lanes with them. We paid for 3 games each but left after 2.

Unfortunately we found it to be really expensive, it was $28 and hour and then we had to add the price of shoes on top of that, for for a family of 5 it was almost $60 for us to bowl for an hour! And it was empty, they could have let us continue to Finnish our game.
Most of the arcade games were broken or out of order too...Waste of money :( shame

I love this place. We decided to go on a Friday night to bowl a few games and we're glad we did. We did have to wait a half hour to bowl, but it was worth it as we were able to get a few beers which were very cheap at three dollars a bottle. As we waited we listened to some really great music from the eighties with the classic videos to accompany them. I enjoyed this a lot. The clientele also seemed to be stuck in the eighties which gave the place an authentic feel and that is what is cool about this place. The pizzas looked good as well, although we didn't get to try them. Bowling was reasonably priced at four or five dollars per game. Nice diversion in Big Bear.

Me and my kids stayed the weekend in big bear and were looking for things to do and came across the bowling barn.my kids had a lot of fun glow bowling and the staff was helpful. the kids also enjoyed the laser maze after bowling. They have arcade games as well but all of them seem to be out of order but other than that the bowling was great we would go back again.

Came to Big Bear for my 40th birthday with a friend and our children(9 & 10).Went glow bowling on Friday night for my bday- the BEST glow bowling I've done in years. Family friendly, fun, good music & food. Cory, announced"Happy birthday" to me, was so kind to us & added to the night. I highly recommend the Bowling Barn- get there early and have a blast!

We have been taking a yearly trip to Big Bear for 17 yrs. We stop in to bowl almost every time. Great Fun. Drinks are not too expensive and the lanes have always been working well when we go in.
