I went here with a large group of Irish pilgrims recently. We were on our way to visit Padre Pio when we heard ohh this sanctuary. Well worth a visit, everything was explained by a very helpful German nun!

The view from the church is quite lovely and we thoroughly appreciated being able to gaze at the Volto Santo. It's amazing how this thin piece of fabric still even exists and then to have the image of Jesus Christ...which perfectly matches the image on...More

To the faithful it is a sacred place of pilgrimage. Lots of people come to worship. Otherwise there is an interesting historical icon.

The church is located on the hill which gives a beautiful view of the area. Inside, behind the altar you will see an image of Jesus on a piece of cloth...a deep spiritual and religious experience
