It was an awesome experience to visit this ancient castle. Walking up the meander lined-up with some vineyards was picturesque. the View of Cochem from the Castle with its beautiful mosel was thrilling.....

Was 6 euros to learn nothing. We had a German speaking guide that gave us a paper with a little bit of explanation. We know from a former trip that there was much more to it. NOT worth it unless you speak german.

Opening hours in winter vary during normal and festive period. In general, it opens at 10 am but with guided tours at 11 am, 12 noon and 1 pm. Entrance fee for adult is Euro 6 per person.

Nein aber man kann mit dem Auto hochfahren auch wenn Parkplätze sehr rar sind.

There is a small touristic train that goes up the hill during the high (summer) season. It goes every hour. Departure is in city center (you cannot miss it).
