Cochem is a small town quite busy with tourists. The area is lovely with beautiful houses along the cobble-stone streets. Apart from the vineyards on both sides of the slopes, the castle on top of the slope offers a must-see spot for tourists. Recommended.

Having spent time in other area villages, we were disappointed in the touristy feel to Cochem. Mostly aimed at shoppers. We thankfully stayed on the quiet side of the river in charming Hotel Zehnthof, and didn't spend much time in Cochem proper. We much more...More

Lovely town, with cobbled streets. Can get very busy at times, but well worth spending a lot of time in this town with a beautiful riverside full of beautiful cafe's and bars.

Like many old towns this town was almost distoryed by WWII. The town was rebuilt, to pre WWII apearance. This is a good walking city. They ban cars after 10am in the morning, so town belongs to the walking tourist.

We just loved this town. There were not so many crowds but the views everywhere you went were fantastic.

Cochem is a quaint old world town in the Mosel valley. It has several cobbled streets and the locals are very welcoming. As this is the main attraction for the region it is somewhat expensive for travellers. Do not expect the wonderful charm of the...More

I just love Cochem, so picturesque with the castle looking over. Great ice-cream shops and the banks of the Moselle are so peaceful. I would consider a holiday here to really explore the area.

It's a crowded town with over 750,000 visitors every year. It's fun to explore the shops but didn't find anything I just had to have. Would have been nice to find a telephone store. Lots of good pastry shops and most have open-air service. If...More
