The townscape from the 1700s is worth the price of admission and the building is fun to explore. The museum is just a short walk from the town center. If you enjoy TV shows like "How It's Made", you'll really like the furniture exhibit.

We seemed to be the only visitors and found an interesting collection of bentwood furniture and little else. We climbed to the top of the tower where the views were interesting but there were no seating facilities on offer.

The Bentwood furniture exhibits and the history of the company were interesting as the process was developed in Boppard but most of the building appeared empty and under used. Without a knowledge of German little could be gleaned of the significance of the historical exibits.

We were interested in seeing the Bentwood chair collection but ended up learning a lot more about the 2000 year history of Boppard in this city museum. We enjoyed seeing this lovingly restored Electoral Castle that houses the museum.

Fairly new opened museum near the center of Boppard which had a reasonable entry fee of 3€. The building is very nice (gray and white trim) and the inside was more sparse than I anticipated. There is a Bentwood collection of chairs and mostly furniture....More

This museum just recently opened and is based on the furniture of the man who first bent wood. It is low priced and worth a look. An added feature is a long climb to the top of a tower which is a good viewpoint for...More
